Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actress best known as Missandei in HBO's huge fantasies "Game of Thrones". (HBO 2011-19). Emmanuel, who was born in and brought up in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's beach resort was always interested in acting. She was noticed by her mother as she grew older, and by the time Nathalie was just three years old, her parents began enrolling her in the singing, dancing and acting classes. Emmanuel was an impressive performer, and she developed quickly. In the latter half of the 90s she played an infant Nala in "The Lion King,"" an iconic West End musical that has been acclaimed. As she grew into a teenager, Emmanuel began auditioning for the roles in TV and films. Her first major breakthrough in 2007, when she was cast as Sasha Valentine on the British soap opera "Hollyoaks" (Channel 4 between 1995 and ). Emmanuel was on the show for four years until ending the series in. Her next breakthrough was three years later, when she was cast in the role of Missandei, the interpreter for Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones."
